Project Description

What should the new Cheongju City Hall look like if it retains its existing city hall and merges the various departments that have been scattered?
Moving away from the paradigm of the industrial age that only pursued efficiency and productivity, we are living in the 21st century, and the city hall for the future should be a place where citizens can maintain their work efficiency and productivity yet remain flexible and close to nature. It should be a new building typology that has never been seen before, and the place where the old office building and new office buildings create must have an identity to represent the whole Cheongju city. We aimed to create an unprecedented working environment while welcoming local citizens.
