Project Description

We focused on the lack of identity in the alleys of Nonhyeon-dong from the past to the present. We propose a novel exterior design that can create a new image and value by giving an identity to the back alleys that lack identity through something new, breaking away from the existing architectural style. Currently, most of the buildings in the alleys of Nonhyeon-dong are made of bricks that have been used for a long time, and there is a trend of using long bricks as the main exterior material from the red brick construction of the past. We propose a design that will have a new identity, not a uniform design, in the alleys of Nonhyeon-dong.

Discovering New Identity
: Fragmented Gangnam

We propose an architectural plan that will symbolically show the design of fragmented buildings while providing a new identity, as well as a rational and economical structure, space layout, and design details. We propose a plan that provides a new identity to the design of fragmented buildings in Gangnam while providing a rational and economical structure, space layout, and delicate design details. This aims to establish itself as a local icon by providing a uniform identity among the diverse architectural characteristics of Gangnam. (Excerpt)

논현동 골목에 과거부터 현재까지 이어진 정체성이 부족한 것에 초점을 두었습니다. 기존의 건축 양식에서 벗어나 새로운 것을 통해 정체성이 부족한 뒷 골목에 아이덴티티를 부여하여 새로운 이미지와 가치를 만들수 있는 참신한 외관 디자인을 제안합니다. 현재 논현동 골목에 들어선 건축물들은 오래전부터 사용되어져온 벽돌을 재료로한 경우가 대부분으로, 과거의 붉은색 조적 벽돌 건축에서부터 길이가 긴 벽돌 재료를 주외장재로 사용하고 있는 추세입니다. 저희는 논현동 골목에 획일적인 디자인이 아닌 새로운 아이덴티티를 가질 디자인을 제안합니다.

파편화된 건축물들의 디자인을 상징적으로 보여줄 새로운 정체성을 부여하면서도, 합리적이고 경제적인 구조 및 공간 레이아웃 그리고 디자인 디테일까지 갖춘 건축 계획안을 제안합니다. 파편화된 강남의 건축물 디자인에 새로운 정체성을 부여하면서도, 합리적이고 경제적인 구조와 공간 레이아웃, 그리고 섬세한 디자인 디테일을 모두 갖춘 계획안을 제안합니다. 이는 강남의 다채로운 건축적 특성 사이에서 획일된 정체성을 부여하여 지역의 아이콘으로 자리잡는 것을 목표로 합니다. (일부발췌)
